Catie Brenneman of Concord High School has been honored with the prestigious Mental Attitude Award by the IHSAA Executive Committee, a testament to her outstanding character and dedication. This award isn't just about athletic prowess; it recognizes a well-rounded individual who embodies scholarship, leadership, and a resilient spirit. Catie certainly fits the bill! Academically, she's a shining star, ranking fourth in her graduating class and a proud member of the National Honors Society. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom, earning her the titles of USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and NISCA All-American for three consecutive years, alongside a remarkable four-year All-Conference selection.
Her swimming career has been nothing short of spectacular. This year, Catie showcased her versatility by qualifying for the state meet in both the 100 and 200 freestyle events, in addition to being a key member of Concord's 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams.
